ORIGINAL STORY: Customer shot to death, employee injured at SW Houston tire shop; Suspect at large

The shooting happened at 24 Hour Tires on South Loop West and David Street around 8:30 p.m.

The owner tells KPRC 2′s Corley Peel that he’s shaken up. He says based on the video, it appeared the customer was targeted and followed to the tire shop.

According to the surveillance video, the gunman appeared to have taken something from the customer.

The entire incident -- only lasting 12 seconds before the gunman ran away.

Robert Moore, the tire shop’s general manager said he’s hoping someone will recognize the suspect.

“Our main goal is to serve the public and we weren’t able to do that last night.... to witness someone being targeted... not sure what the reason was,” he said.

Moore tells Peel that the employee is expected to be OK.

At this time, investigators are seeking a motive to the shooting.
