Gas leak near TDECU Stadium on UH campus cleared, area now safe to enter

HOUSTON – A gas leak near the TDECU Stadium blocked off several streets on the University of Houston campus Monday morning, according to campus officials.

The leak was located at the stadium’s parking garage on Holman Street.

Holman Street was blocked off from Scott and Cullen for several hours. The stadium garage was also closed but has now reopened.

The gas leak was cleared around 2:40 p.m., however, all exiting traffic must turn left toward Scott Street.

The cause of the leak is unknown.
