HOUSTON – A Houston-based attorney has been sentenced after being accused of drugging his pregnant wife in an effort to induce an abortion.
Prosecutors said Mason Herring secretly drugged his wife’s drink with Misoprostol to terminate the pregnancy of the couple’s third child back in March 2022.
Herring, 39, pleaded guilty to injury to a child and assault of a pregnant person. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 10 years of probation.
