HOUSTON – A woman who was shot and killed in a murder-suicide inside a Westchase apartment complex leasing office has been identified.
A statement from Tutu Live Krewe, a nonprofit dancing group of women who dance at local parades, identified the victim as Lisa Randall Blackburn.

The group said Blackburn was an active participant in the dance group and dove into all projects “with gusto.”
“Lisa was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend to many, real estate leasing specialist, and a member of our Tutu Live Krewe for five years. Lisa was bright, beautiful, incredibly kind, and always helpful,” the group said in a news release. “She was a showstopper at all her Tutu Live Krewe appearances. Lisa’s generosity, her heart of love and service to others, her infectious smile, and her vibrant personality were her best accessories.”
The ladies of Tutu Live Krewe lined up in the vicinity of Market Street and 26th Street during Tuesday night’s Mardi Gras Galveston Parade to honor Blackburn. \
“Lisa will be with us today and always. All of us who knew and loved Lisa will miss her,” the group said.
What happened?
Officers with the Houston Police Department responded to Westchase Forest Apartments on Richmond Avenue after receiving calls for a shooting at around 2:30 p.m.
Police said a man stormed inside the leasing office and immediately targeted a woman who was helping a potential resident. He forced her and another man into another room.
Shortly after, police said the gunman killed the woman, shot and injured the man, and turned the gun on himself.
Police are still seeking a motive in this case, and the investigation continues.
