Harris County clerk shares what you need to know on Super Tuesday

HOUSTON – Harris County Clerk Teneshia Hudspeth had a news conference on election day to share everything that voters need to know.

Voters will be able to choose between the Democratic or Republican presidential candidates, who will face off in November.

There are also several state and federal races that Texans will vote on.

Another significant race is the one for Texas’ 18th Congressional District.

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Houston) is running for re-election and she is going against Amanda Edwards.

Jackson Lee has served this district for 14 terms.

As voters head to the polls on Tuesday, it’s important to know that more than 90 counties in Texas have county-wide polling places.

Harris County, Fort Bend County, Galveston County, Brazoria County and Chambers County have county-wide polling places called vote centers. This means people can vote at any polling place in their county.
