Kingwood woman attacked

KINGWOOD, Texas – A woman who was badly injured during a violent attack on a popular walking on a trail in Kingwood says she didn’t have time to react.

According to the victim, she was out taking a stroll on the Green Belt Trails near Deerbrook and Timberlark Drive at around 4:15 p.m. on Feb. 29.

Suddenly, a man appeared in front of her. She says the started walking towards her and later pointed a handgun directly at her, demanding money.

The woman said she didn’t have any money to give, so he then asked her for her cell phone.

When she refused, she says the man then pushed her to the ground, causing severe injuries.

The woman described the suspect as a man who was wearing a hoodie.

As of now, the Houston Police Department has not released any information on a possible suspect. HPD is investigating.
