Investigators learned Brooks and Hoskins were involved in an argument shortly before the shooting. During the altercation, Brooks allegedly shot Hoskins, then fled the scene.
After further investigation, Brooks was named a suspect in the case and on Jan. 30, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office filed a murder charge against him.
Subsequent details on Brooks’ whereabouts led to his arrest on Thursday (March 7) by the HPD Narcotics Tactical Team without incident.
