‘A dream come true for us:’ Savannah Bananas to play at Minute Maid Park
HOUSTON – Most have seen The Savannah Bananas on social media through their viral clips. Baseball players, coaches, and even umpires dancing and having a good time putting a different twist on America’s favorite past time.
But, on Saturday the popular baseball team is in town and is set to play and perform at Minute Maid Park.
“Minute Maid Park, it’s just the pinnacle of all the major league parks. We are so fortunate to bring the show to Houston.” head coach Adam Virant said.
Banana baseball is such a hit, they sold the AL West champion’s stadium out.
“We were so focused on being fans first and creating a show that people have never seen before and now to be here at our first major league stadium, here in Houston -- it’s a dream come true for us,” owner Jesse Cole said.
