KATY, Texas – A Katy waterpark is looking to make a splash in the job market this season!
Typhoon Texas Waterpark is looking to hire 1,000 people and if your teen’s looking for a summer gig, this just might be the one. Workers as young as 15 can apply for a diverse range of roles including water safety, admissions, food and beverage, park service and more.
Team members perks include free Friends and Family tickets, scholarship opportunities, discounts on in-park food and retail, and leadership development programs.
If you don’t have qualifications, the park’s marketing director says have no fear! Lifeguards must know how to swim, but there are also many positions out of the water. Lifeguard training is also available in-house with their partner organization, Ellis and Associates.
“At Typhoon Texas Waterpark, our team members are crucial in creating exceptional guest experiences,” said John Pham, director of marketing at the park. “We’re excited to welcome new team members who share our passion for fun and hospitality.”
The park is accepting applications right now. Typhoon Texas opens on weekends in early April and sticks to that scheduled into Memorial Day weekend. From that weekend until Labor Day in the fall, the park is open every day.
If you’re interested in applying just visit the waterpark’s website here. Applications are accepted online, and interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis.
