HOUSTON – An investigation is underway after a 3-year-old and a woman were shot at an apartment complex located in northwest Harris County Wednesday afternoon.
Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a shooting at the Point Northwest Apartments located at 8750 Point Park around 3 p.m.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said an altercation between two people led to the double shooting where a 3-year-old and a woman were left injured.
Both the child and woman were transported to an area hospital in fair condition.
Gonzalez said a man was found injured at a nearby gas station shortly after the shooting, but they’re still working to determine if the two shootings are connected.
