The healing is hard for a Texas family and now they’re hoping billboards of their daughter and the man accused of killing her, will bring them closer to justice.
Louise Wilson, 17, was shot to death on the Pierce elevated last December. She was driving with friends to watch the sunrise along the coast.
“That’s my girl, you know, and, you know, since then, it’s just, you have so many questions about, you know, how did I fail her, you know? You know, you’re supposed to protect your kids, and mine’s dead,” Louise’s dad, Daniel Wilson said Wednesday.
The Wilson family is from Whitney, north of Waco, and were in Houston joining Crime Stoppers as they announced they’re upping the reward from $5,000 to $20,000 for information in the case.
Crime Stoppers also released a sketch of the man they believe shot Louise. The Wilsons are hoping someone will recognize him.
“Please someone speak up,” Louise’s mom, Krista Wilson pleaded. “You know who did this. If you saw something, please speak up.”
Investigators believe Louise unintentionally cut a driver off on I-45 and the Pierce elevated at about 1 a.m.

According to authorities, someone in a dark-colored sedan drove up next to Louise and opened fire.
She was shot but able to pull over onto the shoulder of the road before she died. Her boyfriend was wounded.
“She wanted to help people and her last act she did. She saved a lot of people,” her dad said.
For the last three months, Louise’s family has been praying for justice.

“Our daughter was just trying to go to the beach to watch the sunrise with her boyfriend on her day off before she had to go back to work again,” her father Daniel Wilson said.
Police say they don’t have any leads in the case.
Officials from Crime Stoppers said that they are now launching a digital billboard campaign, hoping that will bring in tips on the shooting.
“All I have now is memories and pictures of her. I won’t get to touch her ever again or hear her voice,” Krista Wilson said.
Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
