A new age progression image of Lina Sardar Khil, who disappeared at the age of three from a San Antonio playground in 2021, has been released by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. NCMEC forensic artists used family photos to reveal what Lina may look like today at six years old.
Lina’s mother, Zarmeena Sardar Khil, took her daughter to the playground right next to the Villas Del Cabo apartment complex where they lived on Dec. 20, 2021. Lina was playing with the other children and families, according to police. Lina’s mom left the area for a few minutes and returned to find Lina gone.

“It’s heartbreaking to look at Lina, now at six years old. For her family, seeing Lina’s sweet face at this age is especially tough but it also gives them new hope,” said Angeline Hartmann, Director of Communications at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in a press release. “We’ve seen countless times how our age progression images can be a driving force in the search for a missing child. We’re now asking everyone to take a moment out of their day to take a close look at Lina’s image and share it with others. You never know who might have information that can help bring her home.”
Lina’s family expressed frustration back in February, when a tip came in and then a two-day search near their home yielded no results for San Antonio police and the FBI, according to KSAT.
