HARRIS COUNTY – A suspected drunk driver crashed into the side of a house Saturday afternoon. Shockingly, the vehicle narrowly missed striking a young child inside the house.

The crash happened around 2:20 p.m. at the 2100 block of Chalet Rd. in north Harris County.

The 3-year-old and other children were sitting on couches in the direct area of the impact, but the car barreled between the couches without causing any injuries. No other occupants of the home were seriously injured.

A doorbell camera captured the crash. Be advised, some may find this footage upsetting.

The homeowner said the driver said she was trying to back her car, and this somehow happened.

The homeowner’s adult brother received stitches from a minor hand injury sustained during the incident.

The family is waiting for someone to come stabilize the house and board it up.
