HOUSTON – Firefighters are looking into what caused a massive blaze in southwest Houston overnight Monday.

Initial details were the Houston Fire Department was called to a vehicle storage facility on Minetta and Fondren near Missouri City around 1:45 a.m. for a car on fire.

Responding firefighters soon found several cars covered in flames and called for additional reinforcements. We’re told it took about a half hour to get all the flames extinguished.

It’s unclear what caused the vehicles to catch fire and no injuries were reported, but HFD’s arson investigators were called to the scene.

No additional details were shared, as of this writing, but we will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
