Houston’s iconic High Fashion Fabrics is closing its doors after 42 years

The store is offering deep discounts on materials before final day

For over four decades, High Fashion Fabrics has been a cornerstone of Houston’s fashion scene, catering to designers, organizations, home-sewers, brides, and even celebrities. Featuring an array of fabrics ranging from couture laces to European wools and designer silks, the 30,000-square-foot showroom has been a go-to destination for anyone seeking top-quality materials. High Fashion Fabrics has provided an unparalleled selection but now bids farewell after four decades of service.

The business posted the announcement on its socials and website:

“Dear Beloved High Fashion Fabrics Community,

After 42 incredible years, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the closure of High Fashion Fabrics.

We are immensely grateful for your support, creativity, and passion throughout the years. Our fabrics have been intertwined with weddings, special occasions, parties, theatrical plays, musicals, operas, ballets, quilts, and countless memories.

Join us in cherishing the memories as we embark on this bittersweet farewell journey. In the coming weeks, we’ll be hosting a closing sale offering significant discounts on our remaining inventory.

Please come by and make your final selections before we close our doors for the last time on May 31, 2024.

The comments on the video featured disappointment and sadness about the store’s upcoming closure, highlighting that more and more fabric stores in the area are closing down.
