UPDATE: Sassy was returned to her own after a trip down to Angleton, Texas!
If you see a man standing outside of the Brazos Town Center parking lot holding a missing dog sign, that’s Johnell Watkins advocating for his missing dog Sassy.

Sassy, a 15-year-old Pomeranian, was taken from the Brazos Town Center parking lot near the Kroger gas station on March 30, Watkins said.

Sassy wandered off while she was in the parking lot.
Footage someone took from inside the gas station shows a Jeep and a white truck stopping, and someone from the Jeep taking Sassy and driving off.
Sassy, who is deaf and has a heart condition requiring medication, holds immense sentimental value for Watkins, as she belonged to her late mother.
Watkins called the Rosenberg Police Department to report what happened.
“I love her, and I hate to have her die in their care. I’m hurting. I’m devoted to finding her,” Watkins said. “It feels like my heart is ripped from my chest.”
Sassy just got a haircut and isn’t microchipped, according to Watkins. She hopes they will drop her off at a vet clinic or animal hospital.
In the meantime, she’ll keep trying to get the word out and hoping for Sassy’s safe return.
