April 8, 2024: KPRC 2 Insider Joe Holden captured this Click2pin of the Great Texas Eclipse at the Veranda subdivision in Richmond, TX. (Copyright 2024 by KPRC Click2Houston - All rights reserved.)

HOUSTON – Despite the cloud cover on Monday, Houstonians can still enjoy the total solar eclipse as the moon blocks the sun’s face temporarily.

Here are the live experiences you can watch on KPRC 2, the KPRC 2+ livestream and Click2Houston.

I took this picture today out in Vintage Oaks in New Braunfels. The clouds broke at just the right moment for a few seconds and I couldn’t even hear the plane, but saw it while I was taking pictures as the clouds broke. To me it looks like a heart ❀️ of clouds around it as well! Such a rare capture! πŸ“Έ

A bit too cloudy to get any great pictures, but the moon/sun did manage to peek out between clouds just enough for a couple images during totality.
