CROSBY, Texas – A person died Wednesday morning following a crash in Crosby that resulted in traffic being diverted and power lines down.

It’s unclear what led up to the crash, but Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said on X, formerly known as Twitter, that deputies were called to a deadly crash on Barbers Hill in east Harris County past Highlands.
@HCSO_VCD is responding to a fatal crash at the 2700 blk of Barbers Hill. A vehicle stuck a pole. One person has been confirmed deceased on-scene. Traffic in both directions is shut down & being diverted to Sralla and Eagleton. Power lines are down, @CenterPoint has been notified pic.twitter.com/HjP3eXZT3C

One person was reported dead at the scene and traffic in both directions was shut down with drivers being diverted to Sralla and Eagleton.
Downed powerlines were also confirmed by the Sheriff, so CenterPoint Energy was called to the scene.
