HOUSTON – A woman is expected to survive her injuries after being shot Thursday during a domestic dispute, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The gunman, Quandarrius D. Gardner, 25, is charged with aggravated assault of a family member with a deadly weapon.

The shooting was reported at an apartment complex located at Ella Blvd and Romano Park Lane.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the 24-year-old woman was shot and taken to a hospital and is now in fair condition.
Gardner fled with the couple’s 4-year-old child after the shooting. He was found and taken into custody and the child was also found safe.
The couple has a history of domestic violence, HCSO said.
Investigators learned Gardner has three open warrants for previous aggravated assault incidents against the victim.
