HOUSTON – Authorities are piecing together what led up to a shooting Monday night in north Houston, where a man was killed by a pick-up truck driver.

It happened a little before 10 p.m. on W Canino Rd. just off the North Fwy feeder road. That’s where officers with the Houston Police Department were called to a shooting call and found an unidentified man in his early 20s inside his car, shot to death.
It’s unclear what exactly caused the shooting, but police say a good Samaritan was near the scene and caught the incident unfolding on their DashCam. The video, according to police, showed the unidentified man was heading westbound on W Canino Rd. and approaching a stop sign.

Around the same time, a driver in a full-size pickup truck pulled up beside him and fired several shots at him before turning northbound onto the North Fwy feeder. Police say the unidentified man’s car then kept going forward before resting against the curb on North Fwy.
