HOUSTON – A community in North Houston is starting to see some improvements after reaching out to KPRC 2′s Deven Clarke for help with a days-long power and hot water outage.

People who live at The Palms on Rolling Creek complex said the power issue began last Saturday when an electricity pole fell, and apartment management told them they were forced to cut off the power.

Now, after KPRC 2′s reporting on the issues, the power pole has been fixed, and the electricity is back on at the complex.

Residents tell us the power came on just after 4 p.m. Thursday.

While the boiler at the complex has not been fixed yet, and getting hot water is still an issue - the power coming back on is a step in the right direction.

“We’re all so grateful. Thank you and Mr. Deven for coming out and checking on us. Appreciate it immensely,” said a resident who did not want to be identified.

This is a developing story. Check back here for updates.
