MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – A Montgomery County security guard and tennis coach, along with his wife, have been arrested and accused of secretly recording videos of young girls that investigators believe they were selling.
Taylor Kyle Roy worked as a security guard with The Woodlands Mall. Investigators discovered that Roy had recordings of young girls in Forever 21 dressing rooms and upskirt shots of girls at the Bath & Body Works store in the mall.
“They were using a camera, smartwatch and handheld hidden devices,” said Lt. Ken Washington.
Other recordings depicted girls’ genital areas in public places like Six Flags Hurricane Harbor and parks in the Montgomery County area.
Upon being questioned by detectives, his wife, Tasha Roy, admitted to helping create the videos, according to a press release from Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Precinct 3.
Investigators with the Precinct 3 Constable’s Office said they found several videos of girls and teens inside the couple’s home when they executed a search warrant early Thursday morning.
“Loud banging. It sounded like gunfire,” neighbor Catie Moss said. “The entire street was covered in Montgomery County constables and a bunch of unmarked vehicles.”
The Roys, both age 30, are charged with felony invasive visual recording.
A video believed to contain child pornography was uploaded to the internet and on April 4, the Constable’s office got a tip.
Investigators traced upload that to an IP address, gathered more information connected to the address, and then subpoenaed Yahoo and Gmail accounts connected to the couple.
Reviewing the videos led them to Taylor Roy, because they could see his face and that he was wearing a security uniform, and one of the videos contained a sign that identified its location to be The Woodlands.
“It’s believed at this time they were selling them, that’s what they’re investigating to find out where and who,” Lt. Washington said.
According to court records, the couple had advertisements for their screen name at the beginning and end of the explicit videos. A social media account connected to the screen name lists in the bio “$5 per video, or $20 for all 13.”
“The horrifying part is that these people look completely normal, living in a completely normal neighborhood, in a quiet house. That has me worried, you know, what else is going on?,” Moss said.
Detectives say in addition to his work as a security guard at the mall, Roy also works as a tennis coach around The Woodlands and Spring for children between ages 8 and 17.
Both were given a $30,000 bond, according to records.
Allied Universal, the security company Roy works for, told KPRC 2 in a statement that he is on administrative leave until they know more from the investigation.
“The reported behavior is wholly inconsistent with the values of Allied Universal and is not representative of our hundreds of thousands of dedicated security professionals who work to keep businesses and communities safe,” a spokesperson for the company told us in an email. They also say they’re fully cooperating with law enforcement during the investigation.
KPRC 2 reached out to Six Flags for a response to the allegations and is awaiting comment.
Investigators said additional charges are pending.
