“On Friday, April 19, 2024, Texas EquuSearch conducted a search for Margaret Kay-Alana Turner on a private property. During the search, human remains were found by our dedicated and selfless volunteers. Positive identification of the remains is pending.
To our media partners, out of respect to the family and in honor of Kay Alana’s birthday, today, April 22, 2024, please direct any questions to Texas EquuSearch. We ask your patience as we work through the countless requests for comment.
To the parents of Kay-Alana, Robby and Rosa Calhoun, we thank you for your continued trust in our planning and search efforts. Many times we asked you to be patient with us as we planned additional searches and searched for others who had gone missing since March 10, 2023 and you did exactly that - you waited, respectfully, as we planned additional searches. You are selfless, you are God-driven, and you are the catalyst that motivated us to never give up.
To the experts that consulted with us throughout this time, thank you for your expertise, your time, and most importantly, your interest. You cared and that mattered.
To the communities of Tomball, Magnolia, and northwest Harris County, thank you for sharing Kay-Alana’s missing person flyer, for checking your properties when we asked, for graciously allowing us to return time after time to search for Kay-Alana. Without your support, our searches would not have been possible.
To Kay-Alana, Kay, your parents adore you. They are hurting. As you rest in the place prepared for you by our Lord, ask Him to send your momma and daddy a moment of peace and solace as they continue to fight the fight.”
Kay-Alana Turner’s family announced on Saturday that her remains may have been discovered, pending official identification.
“We love Kay! God loves her more! She has been met with the Kindness of the Lord. After 407 days Kay-Alana has been found. We must wait for the medical examiner to determine positive identification but it is our belief that our baby was found by Texas Equusearch yesterday not far from where she went missing on March 10th 2023. From what we know she has been in the presence of God since that date. Texas EquuSearch went above and beyond for our Kay and we thank God for them. We will be silent on this page for a season. Thank you all for your prayers they are our strength.
And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 1 These. 4:13-14″

Turner was last seen on March 10, 2023, after driving away from deputies in the 18000 block of Country Hills Drive. Family members believed she was having a mental health crisis.
According to HCSO, a homeowner reported that there was an unknown vehicle parked in her driveway, and the driver, identified as Turner, refused to leave the property when the homeowner told her to. When deputies arrived at the home, they knocked on Turner’s window to try and wake her up. Deputies said as they tried to make contact with Turner, she drove away and hit a fence.
The car was found abandoned in a field about a mile away from the original scene shortly after, according to HCSO.
