Early voting underway for May 4 election

HOUSTON – You may have May 28 circled on your calendar as the next big election day. That is when runoffs will be held for the Republicans and Democrats who advanced from the March 5 primary.

But there is another election before that: Saturday, May 4.

WHAT WILL VOTERS SEE ON THE MAY 4 BALLOT?

Voters in Harris County will see the HCAD Board of Directors on their ballots.

They will also vote on a special election to fill a vacancy for State Senate District 15.

Voters across the Houston area will decide on some school board seats.

There are also mayoral races in surrounding cities, such as Galveston, Rosenberg and Conroe.

HOW LONG DOES EARLY VOTING LAST?

You can vote early through Tuesday, April 30.

After that, your next chance to vote will be Saturday, May  4.

Keep in mind, your city may be running its own elections. That means your sample ballot will be on your city election website, not the county website.
