JAMAICA BEACH, Texas – Galveston Police recovered a suspicious package containing a large amount of suspected narcotics after it washed ashore on a beach Sunday.
It happened on Jamaica Beach, across from JB RV Park.

In a Facebook post, the City of Jamaica Beach said the suspicious package contained a white substance believed to be narcotics.
Galveston Police confirmed the package was found around 7:30 a.m. Sunday. They said at this time, it is not confirmed what exactly the substance is, but it is believed to be some kind of narcotic.
“If you see something like this on the beach, please do not touch it and call dispatch to report it and officers will come out and recover it,” the City of Jamaica Beach said on Facebook.
