WALKER COUNTY, Texas – A Montgomery County sheriff’s deputy has been placed on administrative suspension after he was arrested in Walker County Tuesday.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said they were notified by the Walker County Sheriff’s Office that Deputy Saul Ortiz was arrested by the agency Tuesday.

Ortiz is assigned to the Motors Traffic Unit of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
Right now, it is not known what Ortiz has been accused of doing, but he is charged with injury child/elderly/disabled reckless bodily injury - simple assault, which is a state jail felony.
His bond is set at $6,000.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said Ortiz will be on administrative suspension as the Sheriff’s Office Internal Affairs Unit and the Walker County Sheriff’s Office conduct their investigations into the incident.
