These items can be dropped off to Michelle Moss at the shelter, who is the AgriLife partner.
In light of the situation, residents who are evacuating are encouraged to first seek shelter with relatives, friends, or in hotels/motels. However, if no other options are available, the San Jacinto County shelter is open to any residents affected by the floodwaters or rising waters in the low-lying area.
San Jacinto County Office of Emergency Management posted to their socials:
We are still urging people to heed this mandatory evacuation. If you are along the Lower end of the Trinity River please get out now. If you live along the lake and the upper end of the river and believe that there is a chance of your homes flooding please find other arrangements. The San Jacinto County Shelter and Shepherd Community Center are opened as shelters.
