HOUSTON – A man is dead after police say a dispute that started because of an order at a west Houston McDonald’s over the weekend turned into a shooting.

According to a press release by the Houston Police Department, the shooting took place Saturday around 6 p.m. outside the McDonald’s on Katy Freeway near I-10 West.

An HPD lieutenant at the scene said the shooter, an unidentified man, was dissatisfied with his order, wanted a refund, and was arguing with the staff. Another unidentified man, 46, reportedly tried to calm down the irate customer, but instead, the customer turned his attention toward him.

The argument led both men to end up outside, and the 46-year-old pushed the angry customer to the ground. After that, investigators say grabbed a gun from his car and shot the 46-year-old man twice before driving away from the scene.
