2 hospitalized, including police officer after driver T-bones Houston PD patrol car

HOUSTON – Two people were hospitalized Tuesday night after investigators say a driver crashed into a Houston PD patrol car on the city’s southwest side.

It happened around 10 p.m., according to police, when an HPD officer was getting ready to pull over another vehicle while westbound on Bissonnet and Kirkwood. That’s when another driver T-boned the cop car at the intersection.

The unidentified driver who crashed into the patrol car was also hospitalized with minor injuries.

Meanwhile, the officer driving the car was not injured, but the officer sitting on the passenger side suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital.

It’s unclear who is at fault because of the crash, but an investigation remains underway.
