“We are extremely angry that a staff member in our district would violate the trust placed in them by our community. These behaviors are entirely inconsistent with the beliefs of our organization. Parents place a great deal of trust in our district, and we will do all that we can to ensure that this type of activity does not occur in the future,” the district said.

The District was made aware of allegations indicating that an EC Mason Elementary staff member allegedly engaged in inappropriate behavior with a student. Due to this incident being an active investigation with law enforcement and the Brazoria County District Attorney’s office, we are just now able to share this information with our EC Mason family.
After the District was made aware of the allegations, the staff member was immediately removed from campus and a formal investigation was initiated. The parents of the student involved were contacted by district staff and made aware of the investigation. Shortly after the investigation began, the individual resigned and is no longer employed with Alvin ISD.
The Alvin ISD Police Department concluded their investigation and provided their findings to the Brazoria County District Attorney.
A Brazoria County Grand Jury indicted the individual on two felony offenses. Yesterday, Alvin ISD received notice that warrants were issued and the individual was arrested.
