Harris County authorities have arrested a man in connection with the senseless death of a man shot in his vehicle as he prepared to go to work in early May.
Kevin Brown, 25, was arrested by Harris County deputies for the shooting death of Fidencio Romero, 50. Brown has been charged with murder.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said on X, formerly known as Twitter, that investigators believe the deadly shooting stemmed from an argument Brown had with Romero at work and shot him because of their disagreement.
“Investigators believe the suspect had a disagreement with the victim at work, before the shooting occurred,” Sheriff said.

The victim was identified as Fidencio Romero (50). Romero was shot just as he left the house for work.
The suspect was identified as Kevin Brown (9-13-98).

Deputies were dispatched to the 13300 block of Wimbledon Oaks on May 1 about a man being shot outside his residence.
Police believe Romero had just gotten into his vehicle when he was ambushed as he sat in the vehicle with approximately 13 shots being fired from an AK-47-type weapon.

In a previous post on X, Sheriff Gonzalez called the incident “senseless” describing Romero as “just a hardworking man going to work.”
