HOUSTON – A Katy man has been charged with stalking, a third-degree felony, in a case involving his former girlfriend.
Milin J. Patel, 32, was arrested in the case investigated by the Katy Police Department. He is currently being held in jail on a $40,000 bond.

According to reports, Katy police met with a woman who informed them that Patel had been harassing her for the past two years by sending her threatening messages and emotional blackmail, as well as following her in his vehicle. The woman said she and Patel had been in a relationship for 14 months but broke up with him in March of 2022.
According to charging documents, Patel repeatedly showed up at his former girlfriend’s job.
On March 7, he allegedly told her, “I am going to kill you and kill myself, I will not let you live here without me.”
On March 9, he reportedly he came to her job again and told her “I am going to ruin your face.”
According to police, on March 11, the woman had dashcam footage of Patel following her home and “brake-checking” her. He is also seen on camera rolling down his window with a large container and waving it at the woman. According to charging documents, the former girlfriend believed Patel wanted to throw the substance to cause physical harm.
Katy police arrested Patel on July 16, 2023, after he trespassed at her residence. In her complaint, the woman alleges that Patel assaulted her on June 14, 2022, but she failed to report it to police and that on March 11, 2022, Patel allegedly pointed a firearm at her young daughter and was arrested by Katy police for that incident and charged with aggravated assault.
