Mayor John Whitmire announced the opening of resource distribution centers across the city to assist residents dealing with the aftermath of Thursday’s storm, which caused extensive damage and power outages.

These centers, located in the hardest-hit city council districts, will provide essential supplies such as ice and water through drive-thru distribution.
Locations and operating hours:
- Fifth Ward Multi-Service Center 4014 Market St, Houston, TX 77020 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Salvation Army 12507 Windfern Rd, Houston, TX 77064 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Salvation Army 4026 N. Interwood, Houston, TX 77032 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Two additional distribution sites will operate from 3 to 5 p.m.:
- Distribution Site A - Northeast Northshore Fellowship Church, 444 Maxey St, Houston, TX 77013
- Distribution Site B - East End/Magnolia Iglesia Fe y Poder, 6714 Navigation Blvd, Houston, TX 77011
