Several Houston apartment complexes have no water: Here’s what the city says is the problem

HOUSTON – Residents of several Houston apartment complexes report they do not have water service since the storm hit last Thursday.

KPRC 2 reached out to Houston Public Works about the problems Friday to try and figure out why the issues are happening.

The three complexes in question are the Durham Heights Apartments on 26th Street, the Milwee Street Apartments on Milwee Street, and the Timbergrove Station Apartments on Minimax Street.

Here is what Houston Public Works is saying Monday about the issues.

  • Durham Heights Apartments, 720 W. 26TH Street, Houston, TX 77008 – The apartment complex is without power and is aware the outage has prevented their pumps from distributing water throughout the property. Houston Water contacted the property owner today for a status update. The outage was reported to 311 on May 19, 2024.
  • Milwee Street Apartments, 5310 Milwee Street, Houston, TX, 77092 – The apartment complex is without power and is aware the outage has prevented their pumps from distributing water throughout the complex. Houston Water contacted the property owner today for a status update.
  • Timbergrove Station Apartments, 2717 Minimax Street, Houston, TX 77008 – water service was restored to the complex on May 19, 2024.

Anyone who experiences a water outage can contact 311 and report it so crews from Houston Public Works can investigate.
