5-year-old grazed by glass in SW Houston party shooting

A 5-year-old girl was grazed by glass after a fight escalated into a shooting in a southwest Houston parking lot.

According to HPD, the shooting occurred outside a party hall where a large gathering was taking place at the 7600 block of Sanford at midnight.

Previous reports suggested the child was grazed by a bullet, but it’s now confirmed she was injured by glass from the shooting. The 5-year-old is at a hospital in stable condition.

Anyone with information is asked to contact HPD or Crime Stoppers.
