Despite initial reports that the home was fully engulfed, the flames were contained to specific areas of the house. The neighbor also told authorities two dogs might be inside.

Atascocita Fire Department firefighters quickly arrived and rushed to put out the fire. They also searched and found the two dogs, who unfortunately did not survive. Meanwhile, the house sustained significant fire and smoke damage, but there were no injuries to residents or first responders.
