Crews arrived and found the man trapped under the mobile home. They determined the man was leveling and raising the mobile home when, for an unknown reason, the mobile home shifted and fell off the blocks supporting it, trapping the man underneath.

Fire crews worked to free the man, using a combination of hydraulic tools, cribbing and shovels. A wrecker which was at the scene was also used to help lift the mobile home with the hydraulic boom. This allowed crews to stabilize the mobile home and dig out the dirt beneath the man, freeing him.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
