EMS and law enforcement were contacted and it was determined her death was a homicide.
“We know that she is deceased from what appears to be some type of trauma, but we’re not exactly sure how she died at this point,” Brown said.
Investigators are trying to piece together a timeline of what happened and who may have been at the apartment but said she appears to have been dead at least a day.
“She lives here at the location alone, except for her son so we’re in the process of trying to track him down and speak with him,” Brown said.
Her vehicle was also initially reported but later found abandoned, the Sheriff confirmed. Right now, there are no suspects in this case, but an investigation continues.
