HOUSTON – The southbound lanes of IH-45 have reopened following a fiery crash involving a 18-wheeler fuel truck Saturday night.
The crash caused a major backup for drivers on the highway and lasted until around 5 p.m. Sunday.
The fire was seen on Houston TranStar cameras in between Parker and Tidwell.
According to Houston police, the 18-wheeler fuel truck was in an accident with at least one vehicle.
At this time, there is no word of injuries or fatalities.

KPRC 2 spoke with a viewer who said they witnessed what happened. According to the viewer, she noticed the huge smoke clouds before seeing the fire on her way home.
She added that when she slowed down, it appeared that an 18-wheeler was on fire and was stretched out across all lanes.
