Woman in custody after SWAT standoff in Tomball

A woman is in police custody after pointing a weapon at her mother and stepfather in Tomball, prompting a SWAT response.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened Saturday at 8:30 p.m. in the 27700 block of Dana Dr.

E.B. Dean with the HCSO said deputies saw the woman with a handgun. When they attempted to de-escalate, she pointed the weapon at a deputy, who then fired their weapon several times. The woman was not struck. SWAT was activated and successfully negotiated her safe surrender.
