HOUSTON – It was a violent and bloody Sunday night in Houston that made its way into the Monday morning hours with several crimes to report and at least eight people dead.

Starting around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, officers with Houston PD said they were called to a double homicide on Louisiana St. where they found a man and woman with severe trauma to their heads. Investigators said the two appeared to be homeless.
About a half hour later, in northeast Harris County, there was a crash on E Sam Houston Parkway and Little York, where two young men died.
They were described as family members between 17 and 19-years-old.
Later that night, sometime after 9 p.m., investigators said a taco truck driver hit and killed a pedestrian on Lawndale near Wayside. The driver later turned himself into police custody.
Around the same time, police were responding to a hit-and-run crash on Fannin St., where three pedestrians were hit, one of whom died.
Finally that night, around 11:30 p.m. HPD said two people drove themselves to the hospital after a shooting on Holly Hall St. near NRG Stadium.

A third person was also found and taken to the hospital. It’s unclear what led up to the shooting, but investigators said all three people suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
MONDAY MORNING
Around 1:15 a.m., Houston police said a gunman donning a blue hoodie and clown mask walked up and shot a person sitting in their car outside a motel. It happened in the 8900 block of Gulf Fwy near Hobby Airport.
Surveillance video at the property showed the shooter firing off more than 10 rounds into the victim’s car.
Two people were also shot, around 2:45 a.m., police said, outside a nightclub on Gulfton. One person died and another was taken to the hospital after they were shot in the legs.
Authorities are still investigating these respective crimes over the weekend.
