The warrant stemmed from an investigation by a Montgomery County Precinct 3 detective into the promotion and distribution of child pornography in The Woodlands. The investigation revealed that Derek Joseph Moe was involved in promoting and possessing thousands of images depicting infant and toddler sexual assault material, according to the Constable’s office.
Moe is charged with five counts of promotion and distribution of child pornography in Montgomery County. He is currently being held in the Montgomery County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
Further investigation revealed Moe is employed as a scuba instructor at a dive school in The Woodlands. Detectives are urging the public to contact 281-364-4211 if they have had any interactions with Moe and have concerns.
