HOUSTON – Authorities need your help looking for a thief caught on camera posing as a healthcare worker.
According to the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) the unidentified thief is tied to several thefts at different hospitals and clinics within the Houston-Galveston area.

They say she goes into waiting rooms, lounges and other public areas to steal people’s wallets, credit cards, money and personal belongings.
“From what we know the suspect is not going into any patient-sensitive areas or any of the pharmacy areas of clinics or hospitals.” Chris Gonzalez with UTMB told KPRC 2.
They believe the thief is connected to crimes dating back to October of 2023.
Police say she usually wears medical attire like “scrubs, or administrative clothing such as a button up long sleeve shirt.”
She also often wears a facemask and an official-looking ID badge to move unnoticed.
However, several photos provided by UTMB show her vehicle and glimpses of the thief, so if you recognize her you’re encouraged to call UTMB and Detective Jeff Rupert at 409-772-5692.
