HOUSTON – 3 people are behind bars after getting into a chase with officers in northeast Harris County overnight Friday.

It happened around 12:45 a.m. when officers with Houston PD said they saw a driver doing donuts on the city’s north side. They tried pulling the driver over, but it fled and police lost sight of the vehicle.

A short time later, deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office’s Traffic Crimes Division found the car and started to chase after it. We’re told the pursuit lasted about 20 minutes going through the northeast area of the county.

At some point during the chase, investigators said the driver dropped off two passengers, who were later taken into custody. The driver ended up surrendering shortly afterward at a gas station on Little York and the 59 S Feeder.

All have been described as young adults, with the driver facing felony charges for evading in a motor vehicle and possibly deadly conduct. No additional information has been shared, as of this writing, but an investigation continues.
