The man accused of stabbing a man and a woman in north Harris County last week is being held behind bars on a $325,000 bond.

Rafielle Andrews, 40, was charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after investigators said he flagged down a man and a woman and then stabbed them both.

They say he was holding a knife and a stuffed animal at the time.

The woman was able to flee with her injuries, but the man collapsed in his driveway after driving home and died.

At the scene, police said they were unable to calm Andrew down but were able to subdue and arrest him without further violence.

Authorities believe Andrews has a history of mental illness, and records confirm his criminal history spans more than two decades.

Andrews has been charged with multiple violent crimes dating back to 1999, including aggravated robbery, assault causing bodily injury, and injury to a child under the age of 15.

If Andrew makes bond, he will be subject to 24-hour house arrest, according to court records.
