HOUSTON – Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo recently announced the launch of “MyHarrisCountyCase.com,” a new website that she hopes will reduce nonappearances in local court cases.

Hidalgo claimed that a 2021 study showed that nearly 40% of “no-shows” in court were due to a lack of easily available information.

The site is meant to be simple and easy to use. Anyone seeking information about their court case just has to enter their birthday and full legal name, at which point they can see all active cases they’re currently involved in.

If there’s an active case against the user, they can then see all upcoming court dates, along with the hearing reason, arrest date, the location of the court their hearing is at and any other information relevant to the case.

The website also features embedded support for Google Translate, so users can pull up their information in multiple languages.

To access the website, you can either navigate directly to it via MyHarrisCountyCase.com or go to the main Harris County district clerk website and navigate to the page from there.
