HOUSTON – Authorities are piecing together how a house caught fire in south Harris County, where a man’s body was found.

It happened a little after 7 a.m. when firefighters said they were called to a home on Thistle St. near Scott St. by Sam Houston Tollway. Details are limited as to how the fire started, but Sheriff Ed Gonzalez posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that a man was found dead inside.

The man’s identity has not been released either, nor has there been any reports of additional injuries yet.
