TEXAS – Many family, friends, and fans of Texas rapper Enchanting are taking to social media to express their condolences after the 26-year-old died earlier this week.
Enchanting, whose birth name is Channing Nicole Larry, was formally signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 record label.

What happened
It all began on June 6 when her A&R representative and ex-boyfriend, JhonnieDamnD went live on Facebook asking everyone to send a prayer up for the artist.
Days later, on June 12, family and friends of Enchanting confirmed her passing.
Friend and collaborator Lil CJ Kasino spoke about her death on Instagram, saying in part, “They Pulled The Plug Bro This Sh** So Fuc**** Up I Just Knew You was Finna Pull Threw.”
Her Sister Kayy’Jayy also made a post about the artist on X, formerly known as Twitter.

In a post from the 1017 record label page, company executives expressed sadness after the announcement of her sudden death.
“So sad to have to say R.I.P to such a great young lady,” 1017′s CEO Gucci Mane wrote alongside a photo of Enchanting. “A true star. We(’re) (going to) all miss you Chant.”
How Enchanting got her start
Enchanting was a singer, songwriter, and rapper who was known for her charming and ethereal vocals and for being the whisper rap princess.
She was born in Germany on Oct. 9, 1997, and was raised between Texas and Atlanta. During her career, Enchanting had about 200K followers on Instagram and four R&B projects before signing with the New 1017 in 2020. It was after signing to 1017 that she tapped into her rapping bag.
Her tracks such as No Luv, Track & Field, Want Sum, Big Chant and many more caught the attention of those in the music world. During her career. she collaborated with fellow rappers Kali, Omeretta, Monaleo, Lil Cj Kasino, Big Scarr, and many more.

Before her untimely death, she had recently become an independent artist in late 2023 after fulfilling her contract with 1017. She was excited and motivated to begin her independent career.
Her death shocked social media users everywhere, including myself. All through my social media feed were people heartbroken by the announcement, many saying that they were in disbelief, highlighting how gifted, beautiful, and talented she was.
Most times when artists die, especially at such a young age, many people are affected especially their fanbase and loved ones.
Although we may not have a personal relationship with them, we’ve connected with them through their music and social media.
At this time, her cause of death is unconfirmed.
