An Uber Eats delivery driver was shot while his wife and child were in the car in north Houston on Friday night. The incident happened at 16200 Imperial Valley around 10 p.m.
HPD responded to the scene, where they found a man who had been shot during a possible robbery. The victim, in his mid-30s, was delivering food with his wife and child waiting in the car when an unidentified suspect approached him as he returned to his vehicle. The suspect shot the driver in the chest before fleeing the scene.

Despite his injuries, the victim managed to get back into his car and drive a short distance down the street. Officers arrived and applied a chest seal to stabilize him. He was then transported to a hospital and is currently in stable condition.
Authorities believe the incident was a robbery or carjacking attempt. No other injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing, and police seek any information that may lead to the suspect’s arrest.
