In a heartwarming turn of events, Dudley, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office’s newest K-9 member, proved to be a real hero this past weekend.

The department’s social media was abuzz with praise for Dudley, who played a crucial role in reuniting an 8-year-old girl with her family.

8-year-old Skye Williams, who needs regular medication, went missing Sunday evening, prompting an urgent search by authorities.

Thanks to the diligent efforts of K-9 Dudley and his handler, the search concluded successfully.

Dudley tracked Skye to an intersection where she had boarded a bus, leading deputies to her new location. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez applauded Dudley’s efforts on social media, expressing gratitude for the immediate impact the K-9 team had in this case.

“The newest four-legged member made an immediate impact!” Sheriff Gonzalez said in the post.
